Community and Employment Specialist
The Community and Employment Specialist seeks to ensure the highest quality of life for persons served in pursuit of employment opportunities within the community, including Pre-Employment Transition Services ( Pre-ETS) and Medicaid Alternative Pathways (MAPs) . Pre-ETS works with students within the schools system in preparation for employment .MAPs is a program that will set people with intellectual and developmental disabilities on a path to learn skills to help them work, live independently, learn about their neighborhoods, and find hobbies that interest them. MAPs service give people in the program the tools, technology, and support they need to meet the goal they set for themselves. Primary Service area would be: Coffee, Bedford, Lincoln Counties. This is a rewarding, community based program requiring a minimum of High School Diploma or GED plus six months of successfully working with individuals with disabilities. Direct Support experience a plus. Preference will be given to an Associates and/or Bachelor’s degree. One year experience in the fields of Job Coaching, Job Placement , Vocational Rehabilitation, Education, Social Work, Psychology, Human Resources, etc required. Additional training and certification provided. EOE/Drug Free/Vet/Disability/E-Verify.

Independent Support Coordinator
The Community Development Center, a non-profit agency serving people with ID/DD in the Coffee, Bedford and surrounding counties, seeks qualified candidate for the position of Independent Support Coordinator .The Support Coordinator will provide support coordination with case management to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities that include the following components:
- · Communication with individual family
- · Support Plan and follow-up
- · Monitoring and evaluation
- · Community inclusion
- · Advocacy
- · Communication with TN DIDD
- · Communication with TennCare
ISCs provide case management services in the TN Strong Families program. This program helps children who have an intellectual or developmental disability(IDD) and are currently in Tennessee state custody by providing flexible funding so families can pay for needed services and supports. ISCs are responsible for making contact with the family monthly and an in person visit every six months.
Bachelor degree in a social field is preferred. Must be computer literate and have excellent communication skills. EOE/Drug Free Workplace/Vet/Disability/E-
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week ( based on candidate)

Registered Behavior Technician
The Children’s Center for Autism, in Bedford County, is seeking applicants for the position of Behavior Technician. The position is part time, with a set schedule of 30 hours per week.
Paid Registered Behavior Technician training provided on-site. $13.50- $15.00/per hour.
High school diploma required, some college preferred, background check and drug testing are required. EO/AA/M/F/Vet/Disability Employer.

1. What made you choose this particular career?
I took a behavior modification class in college and learned about applied behavior analysis for the first time. I fell in love with it and knew that was the path I wanted to continue on.
2. What is one thing that you wish people knew about your job?
How rewarding it is getting to see our kiddos grow.
3. What has been one of the most important lesson you’ve learned throughout your career?
I've learned the value in not giving up. It doesn't matter how long it takes you to get there, what matters is that you achieve your goal and didn't quit.
